I recently visited Nairobi to set up and kickstart a local coffee revolution with my long-term collaborator Moyee Coffee. Moyee's 50/50 philosophy aspires to share the value of every cup of coffee equally between coffee-growing and coffee-consuming countries (right now it's 90/10 in the favor of corporate shareholders). Working with Moyee's Nairobi coffee roastering and the East African music industry, I am working with local creatives to create the first high-end coffee brand where locals share equally in the profits. It's called The Republic of Everyone. Check it out.

My most recent stage play DISINTEGRATION — written but not yet performed — has been accepted into the Austin Film Festival Stage Play competition (October 23 – 30, 2025).Past participants include Robert Altman, Greta Gerwig, Sydney Pollack, Keenen Ivory Wayans, to name a few. We shall see.
Assouline
In 2025 I was asked to write a book for Assouline, the New York Publisher of exclusive tomes. After much deliberation - do I really want to write a coffee table book? - I said yes because the subject fascinated me. An NDA keeps me tight-lipped on the subject matter, but the book will be published late 2025/early 2026.
